The right Linkboost alternative depends on what you need: more engagement on your posts, help writing and publishing, or a way to build relationships with potential buyers.

Extrovert helps B2B founders, sales teams and agencies engage with selected prospects and follow up. HyperClapper, Podawaa and Lempod boost your own posts. Engage AI organizes a community whose members engage manually. Taplio and AuthoredUp help you write and publish, with different AI and engagement features.

More comments on a post, a consistent publishing calendar and a reply from a target account call for different tools.

Linkboost alternatives at a glance

Alternative Workflow Starting price and useful condition
Extrovert Prospect engagement, comments and DM follow-up $49 per connected LinkedIn seat/month, billed monthly; 250 tracked prospects and 300 Credits per seat
HyperClapper Channel-based boosts for your own posts Free: 3 posts/month; Pro: $39/month for 30 posts
Podawaa Community exchange or Private engagement delivery Free Community: 5 boosts/month; Private Scale: €59/month excluding VAT
Lempod Pod marketplace with usage credits Lite: $9.99/month excluding tax; usage and control add-ons affect the bill
Engage AI Scheduled manual engagement community Individual: $50/month; Group: $250/month with unlimited client sub-accounts
Taplio Publishing, AI writing and engagement Starter: $39/month; AI writing and commenting start on Growth at $69/month
AuthoredUp Drafting, formatting, scheduling and analytics Individual: $19.95/month; Business: $14.95/profile/month, minimum 3 profiles

These are monthly-billing prices, not annual equivalents. The products charge for different units: a connected account, a boost allowance, usage credits or participation in a community. Compare the plan that covers your actual work, rather than the lowest number on the pricing page.

What are you replacing in Linkboost?

Linkboost combines coordinated likes and comments on your posts with editable AI comments, topic discovery, a Smart Feed for profiles outside your pods and analytics. Replacing only its boost function is a narrower decision than replacing that whole workflow.

Linkboost official homepage showing its post-boosting offer

Its Free plan lists three boosted posts per month, one post per day and one pod per boost. The monthly pricing cards list Premium at $39/month and Plus at $59/month. Annual billing reduces the displayed equivalents to $31/month and $47/month. Premium includes 30 posts/month and five pods per boost; Plus includes 60 posts/month and 20 pods per boost.

Before switching, identify the gap:

  • Your posts need amplification. Compare delivery method, relevant participants, outgoing account activity and the boost allowance. HyperClapper, Podawaa, Lempod and Engage AI address this job in different ways.
  • Publishing takes too much work. Compare drafting, previews, scheduling and analytics. Taplio and AuthoredUp can replace that part of the routine without promising identical pod mechanics.
  • You want conversations with particular buyers. Focus on whose posts you engage with, how drafts are reviewed and what happens after the comment. That is Extrovert's role.

1. Extrovert: engage selected prospects and manage follow-up

With Extrovert's prospect-engagement workflow, you start with the people you want to reach. People- and topic-based campaigns bring relevant posts into your feed, so your commenting time goes toward accounts that matter to your business.

You can review comments individually, approve them in bulk or automate selected campaigns. Connection requests and DMs can also be part of the campaign. Shared campaigns let teams work on a teammate's or client's behalf.

Comment prioritization helps you decide which posts deserve attention next. That matters when you have more tracked prospects than time to read their feeds.

Illustration: the posts a campaign found, sorted three ways. Newest posts, newest first: Just now, 20 min ago, 3 h ago, Yesterday. Closest to outreach, fewest comments left before outreach first: 1 left, 2 left, 3 left, 4 left. Evenly distribute, longest since your last comment first: 6 weeks ago, 3 weeks ago, Last week, Yesterday.

  • Newest posts

In a visibility campaign, the newest posts come first, so your comment goes up while people are still reading.

  • Closest to outreach

In a warm outreach campaign, the people who need only one or two more comments before you reach out come first, so you get to the first DM sooner.

  • Evenly distribute

In a nurturing campaign, the people you have not commented on for the longest come first, so nobody on the list is forgotten.

After you engage, recommended DMs appear in a review queue with a reason for each suggestion. Send or snooze them to keep track of follow-up after a comment.

Illustration: the DM workspace on its Recommended tab, 5 conversations due for a message today, each with its reason. Connected 2 days ago: First DM. No reply for 9 days: Follow-up. New role at their company: Restarter signal. Promised a call 2 weeks ago: Follow-up. Quiet for 3 months: Keep in touch. The first one is open, with the first DM drafted and the buttons Send and Snooze.

Conversation Restarters use a relevant post from a prospect to suggest how to restart a conversation. See how to put these features together in the daily warm LinkedIn outreach workflow.

Extrovert replaces the prospect-engagement and follow-up work around Linkboost. It does not provide a fixed allocation of incoming likes and comments on your own posts.

Extrovert pricing is $49 per connected LinkedIn seat per month, billed monthly. Each seat includes 250 tracked prospects, one topic and 300 monthly Credits, shared across the team. All features are included. Credits pay for actions such as finding leads and intent signals. Extra tracking capacity, topics and Credit top-ups cost more; included Credits reset monthly, while purchased top-ups roll over. Teammates who do not connect an account are free.

The ten-day trial requires no card. Check whether the feed shows relevant prospect posts, the drafts sound like you and the DM queue helps you keep track of follow-up.

2. HyperClapper: channel-based boosts with outgoing-activity controls

HyperClapper lets you paste a LinkedIn post URL, select channels, configure AI comments and launch a boost. Its own-post workflow also includes company-page engagement, private channels and automatic replies on eligible plans.

HyperClapper official homepage introducing channel-based LinkedIn post engagement

Its Free plan lists three posts/month, one boost/day and one channel. Pro costs $39/month for 30 posts and three channels. Growth costs $59/month for 60 posts and four channels, and adds AI replies. Those are monthly prices; longer billing periods have separate discounts.

The control you need may determine the plan. Pro permits disabling your profile's outgoing comments. Disabling both outgoing likes and comments requires Infinity at $99/month. Automatic replies can continue representing your voice after the initial boost, so inspect their settings as well as the comments you approve at launch.

HyperClapper directly replaces post boosting. Compare which channels participate, what your account does in return and which controls the plan includes.

3. Podawaa: Community exchange or Private delivery

Podawaa separates reciprocal Community engagement from paid Private delivery. Community uses a Chrome extension: your account engages with other members' posts, and they engage with yours. Private delivers engagement without using your account to engage with other members.

Free Community includes five boosts/month, up to 20 likes and one comment per post. Outgoing Community comments are not approved individually, according to its FAQ; removing the extension stops that activity.

Private Scale costs €59/month excluding VAT, with unlimited boosts and up to 50 likes and ten AI comments per post. Accelerate costs €89/month and adds scheduling, 30 AI-written posts/month and a comment inbox with reply suggestions. Extra LinkedIn accounts cost more, depending on the plan.

Podawaa's Growth Autopilot detects new posts and starts a boost, so you do not have to submit each post manually. Its scheduling and writing features also help you prepare and publish posts.

Keep the allowance and delivery conditions separate. “Up to” is a cap, not a promise of that many completed actions. The introductory first-week prices renew at higher weekly rates; they are separate from the monthly plans above. Private delivery's lack of reciprocal activity from your account does not make coordinated amplification risk-free.

4. Lempod: a pod marketplace with usage-based pricing

Lempod organizes engagement through pods that you can find by location or industry. You share post links with selected groups, choose AI-generated comments and track engagement. The group makeup matters if you want comments from people relevant to your subject or market.

Lempod official homepage introducing its engagement-pod marketplace

Its current pricing uses Gold and Silver balances rather than the older per-pod fee. Lite is $9.99/month excluding tax. Starter is $14.99/month, with 100 Gold and 500 included Silver. One Gold converts to 50 Silver; Lite's pricing card does not specify included credits. Starting an engagement costs 20 Gold; an engagement action costs ten Silver; AI usage costs five Silver. Silver expires one month after it is added.

Some controls are add-ons: Boost Control costs $19.99/month, advance engagement scheduling $29.99/month and Ghost Mode $49.99/month. Ghost Mode is described as joining pods without performing social actions.

Estimate the credits and add-ons you need for a normal month of posting. The $9.99 entry plan does not include every scheduling or outgoing-activity control. Compare the cost of that month's work with a posts-per-month subscription.

5. Engage AI: scheduled engagement with manual participation

Engage AI's Community organizes members into scheduled engagement sessions. You submit your post link and manually engage with assigned community posts; the software assigns posts and tracks participation. You pay for the subscription and commit time to engaging with other members.

The English-language community runs APAC, Europe and US East Coast sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Individual costs $50/month for up to nine engagement sessions/week. Group costs $250/month with unlimited client sub-accounts. The community has no free trial. Its 30-day money-back guarantee requires participating at least three times in the first month without an improvement in post visibility.

Engage AI also has an AI-commenting extension that generates contextual drafts with tone options. The $50 and $250 Community subscriptions above pay for community participation, not the older copilot offer. The image below shows that separate extension.

For this alternative, the main conditions are the session schedule, language and time you can spend contributing. Manual participation changes how engagement happens; it does not by itself establish that coordinated engagement complies with LinkedIn's rules.

6. Taplio: publishing and engagement in one content workflow

Taplio combines post creation, scheduling and analytics with commenting, replies, lead feeds and outreach on higher plans. It covers the routine around writing and distributing content, rather than only submitting a finished post to a pod.

Starter costs $39/month and includes scheduling and analytics. Growth costs $69/month and adds AI writing, commenting, replies and collaboration. Its current matrix lists 250 AI credits and 500 comment credits per month. Pro costs $199/month and lists unlimited AI posts/comments plus automated outreach.

If you need AI writing or commenting, compare Growth or Pro rather than Starter. Annual billing has different monthly equivalents. The seven-day trial provides Pro access.

Before comparing plan prices, decide whether you need draft generation, a calendar, comment assistance or outreach.

7. AuthoredUp: drafting, formatting and publishing operations

AuthoredUp helps you prepare and manage LinkedIn posts. It includes rich-text formatting, post previews, readability guidance, hooks and endings, drafts, snippets, a calendar, scheduling and analytics. It replaces content preparation and publishing, not reciprocal engagement.

Individual costs $19.95/month for one profile. Business costs $14.95 per profile/month, with a minimum of three profiles. Company pages are included without an extra page fee. Annual billing has lower displayed equivalents, and the free trial requires no card.

Scheduling runs through its extension. Its Coauthor AI writing feature is listed in closed beta, so it should not be treated as a generally available AI writer for every new subscriber.

These publishing features do not replace coordinated likes and comments on your posts.

How to compare the real cost and account activity

Compare a normal month's work, not a tool's headline price. Record how many profiles you manage, how often you publish, how many prospects you track and which actions you expect to approve yourself.

Compare costs by the work each product covers:

  • Post boosting: Check the number of boosts, participating groups and promised versus maximum engagement. Include Lempod's credits and control add-ons.
  • Publishing: Price the plan that includes AI or comments if you need them.
  • Prospect engagement: Account for Extrovert's connected seats, tracking capacity and Credit usage.
  • Manual communities: Include your participation time.

Account activity deserves a separate check. Ask whether your profile will like or comment on other members' posts, whether you can review those comments before they appear and whether the tool continues replying after a boost. A setting available on a higher plan can change both the workflow and the cost.

LinkedIn has stated that it is working to make engagement pods ineffective and takes action against inauthentic engagement and unauthorized tools. Real accounts, gradual pacing and human approval are not guarantees against restrictions. That concern applies to automation in Extrovert too.

When moving away from a boosting workflow, cancel renewal and stop reciprocal activity separately. Check connected extensions, active campaigns and scheduled replies before removing access. Save the post data and settings you still need before closing the old account.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Linkboost alternative?

HyperClapper offers three posts/month on Free. Podawaa's free Community plan includes five boosts/month, with up to 20 likes and one comment per post, through reciprocal extension-based engagement. Extrovert offers a ten-day trial rather than a permanent free plan.

Which alternatives replace engagement pods?

HyperClapper, Podawaa and Lempod cover own-post boosting. Engage AI organizes a manual community with scheduled participation. Extrovert covers selected-prospect engagement and follow-up; Taplio and AuthoredUp cover content workflows. The latter tools replace parts of the routine, not a fixed pool of incoming engagement.

Does switching tools make LinkedIn automation safe?

No provider switch guarantees protection from account restrictions. Inspect what actions the tool takes, what you approve and which extensions or account connections it requires. Human review helps you control wording and relevance; it is not a compliance guarantee.
